In mid-September, Spring Valley hosts a three-day weekend “Dam Days Celebration”, in commemoration of the 1960’s construction of the largest earthen dam in the Midwest that was designed to control flooding to in area. 1,189 residents take great pride in the rural community lifestyle Spring Valley offers.
