Beldenville, which was first platted in 1856 by David and O.H. Belden, is located on Hwy. 65, south of River Falls. Two years after platting, the post office was established. Production was introduced when the Belden’s built a steam sawmill and later, a shingle mill. At one time, furniture, pickle and fanning mill factories existed. Today, a wooden, two-story grade school is still standing.
